Tenacious D. Encourage Fans to “Rocky the Vote” With Star-Studded “Time Warp” Cover
Did you guys know there’s a presidential election one week from today? It almost completely escaped my attention. Was it on the news? Weird I haven’t heard people talking about it.
Thankfully, Tenacious D. have reminded fans to Rocky the vote (yuk yuk) with a cover of “The Time Warp,” the most famous song from The Rocky Horror Show and its subsequent movie adaptation, The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Says the duo:
“It’s astounding… time is fleeting… and the 2020 election is here. Time to ROCK-Y THE VOTE! And remember: it’s just a jump to the LEFT, and not a step to the right!”
And yes, they did also change the lyrics about jumping to the left and stepping to the right. It’s low-hanging fruit, yes, but if it gets even one more person to vote for Biden…
