Video: Alexi Laiho’s Bodom After Midnight Performs Live for the First Time
Bodom After Midnight, the new project feature Children of Bodom’s Alexi Laiho and Daniel Freyberg, performed live for the first time last night (October 23) at Rytmikorjaamo in Seinäjoki, Finland. Fan-filmed footage of the show can be seen below.
Bodom After Midnight was formed after drummer Jaska Raatikainen, bassist Henkka T. Blacksmith, and keyboardist Janne Wirman all left Children of Bodom last year, taking the collectively owned CoB trademark with them. This forced Laiho (guitars/vocals) and Freyberg (guitars) to start a not-quite-new band.
In addition to Laiho and Freyberg, the band’s line-up is rounded out by drummer Waltteri Väyrynen (Paradise Lost), bassist Mitja Toivonen (Santa Cruz), and touring keyboardist Lauri Salomaa (Humangod).
According to Blabbermouth, the setlist for the show was as follows:
- “Needled 24/7”
- “Silent Night, Bodom Night”
- “Bodom After Midnight”
- “Sixpounder”
- “Platitudes and Barren Words”
- “Living Dead Beat”
- “Knuckleduster”
- “Angels Don’t Kill”
- “Hate Me!”
- “Deadnight Warrior”
- “Hatebreeder”
- “Everytime I Die”
- “Warheart”
- “Downfall”
- “Hate Crew Deathroll”
- “Are You Dead Yet?”
- “In Your Face”
Bodom After Midnight’s debut album should be out sometime next year.
