This Halloween Light Show Set to Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” is INSANE

What happens when a suburban house dad whose rockstar dreams never came to fruition has a whole bunch of money, a heart of gold, and way too much time on his hands?

That’s not the set up for a joke, it’s reality: what happens is this video of a Halloween-themed light show built on someone’s house synced up to Metallica’s “Enter Sandman.”

Don’t get me wrong, the display — which features 70,000 individual lights — and all the effort that went into putting this together are incredibly impressive! These things only get more and more so by the year. But some of those light fixtures they’ve got on the roof cost thousands of dollars alone, let alone all the other stuff. Couldn’t all that money be donated to, like, feed hungry children or something?

Why yes, yes it could! And that’s exactly what the owner of the house in Tracy, CA, just east of the Bay Area, is doing. “I made this show as a free event for the community and as fundraiser for the McHenry House, a local family shelter here in Tracy, California. It’s only 2 hours a night on weekends to minimize traffic in the neighborhood,” says a description on the Facebook page of Magical Light Shows.

If you live near Tracy and want to see the show in person, it’s open from 7-9pm at 15 Phillips Ct., where a donation box will be left on the curb, on the following upcoming nights:

Friday, October 23rd
Saturday, October 24th
Sunday, October 25th
Friday, October 30th
Saturday, October 31st

Or you could just watch it below instead and donate to the McHenry House here.
