Video: Run the Jewels Perform with Rage Against the Machine and Queens of the Stone Age Frontmen
As we’ve mentioned in the past: hip-hop duo’s Run the Jewels’ most excellent new album, RTJ4, features guest appearances from Rage Against the Machine’s Zack de la Rocha and Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme. And since there’s a pandemic on and everyone suddenly has free time on their hands, they were able to get both of those fine frontman to make cameo during a performance on Adult Swim this past Saturday, October 17. You can watch video below.
The Eric Andre-hosted broadcast, presented in association with Ben & Jerry’s, was dubbed “Holy Calamavote” after the RTJ4 cut “holy calamafuck.” As its name suggests, the performance was intended to raise voter awareness (RTJ, like RATM, are super political, in case ya didn’t know.)
Run the Jewels were supposed to spend the summer as direct support for the Rage Agains the Machine reunion tour, but that was postponed until next year, natch. Dates are here.
“Ju$t” (feat. Zack de la Rocha and Pharrell Williams)
“Pulling The Pin” (feat. Mavis Staples and Josh Homme)
