Dark Tranquillity’s New Song is “Identical to None”
It takes nards to names a song “Identical to None.” I mean, you’re setting yourself up for all kinds of easy jokes at the hands of wiseacres like MetalSucks. Dark Tranquillity must have felt pretty confident that their new single has the goods.
And they were right to be confident! Okay, so the song may not be identical to none, but it’s such a fun, catchy slice of Swedish melodeath that it’s hard to care. Besides. It’s Dark Tranquillity. They helped create this shit.
Listen to “Identical to None” below. It’s the second single off the band’s new album, Moment, which comes out November 20 on Century Media. You can stream the first single, “Phantom Days,” here. Pre-order Moment here.
Dark Tranquillity previously announced a fall headline tour of North America with Obscura and Nailed to Obscurity… but that was before they fired booking agent John Finberg in light of a MetalSucks investigative report detailing numerous allegations against Finberg, including sexual misconduct, bullying, racism, questionable business practices, and violent physical threats. The band has said that they “are working on alternatives to the recently announced North American tour and will inform you as soon as we have any updates.”
