Corey Taylor Thinks Face Tattoos Make You Look Like “A Shitty Notebook from High School”

Of all the burning questions on our minds day in and day out — including those related to what Corey Taylor thinks — the most pressing of all, unquestionably, concerns his opinion of face tattoos. With the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman’s peers such as Ivan Moody (Five Finger Death Punch) and Tommy Lee (Mötley Crüe) adorning their faces with ink, following in the footsteps of a generation of younger musicians for whom it’s become a sign of success, surely our own opinions on the matter cannot be validated without first knowing what Corey thinks.

GQ magazine to the rescue! In a new video interview in which God’s Greatest Gift to Rock Music discusses his (non-face) tattoos, Corey shared the be-all, end-all opinion on taking ink and needle to the punim. And it ain’t pretty (literally or figuratively). When asked if he’d ever get one himself, he replied:

“Never. I get it, you know. A face tattoo is no different than a nipple piercing from 20 years ago — 30 years ago anyway. You end up looking like a shitty notebook from high school.”

There you have it: He has spoken! And we can finally put this issue to bed once and for all.
