New Epica Album Arriving in February; Listen to the First Single Now

Epica have announced their first new full-length studio album in five years. It’s called Omega, and it will be released on February 26. The first single, “Abyss of Time,” is available for your listening pleasure via music video at the bottom of this post, which was created by Grupa 13 (Amon Amarth, Kreator, etc.).

Singer Simone Simons comments: 

“Finally we can show you the video for our newest single ‘Abyss of Time’! We flew all the way to Poland to work with Grupa 13 for the first time. Shooting videos is one of my favorite parts of creating the visual side to our music. The costumes were insanely beautiful. It was so much fun and I hope that you like the video.”

Epica are a band I respect, even if I’m not really a fan of their music. So while I don’t have any interesting thoughts on “Abyss of Time,” I can tell you that the video has some really cool visuals.
