Members of Deftones and SikTh Post New Song Under Sol Invicto Moniker
Sol Invicto, the band featuring members of Deftones and SikTh among their ranks, have unveiled a new song called “A Reason for Being.”
Those who sympathize with Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter whenever he talks about wanting to take that band in a heavier direction — such as he did when he expressed his displeasure with some of the material on Gore (2016) — will find the axeman scratching that itch here. In addition to Carpenter, the band features SikTh drummer Dan Foord and producer/guitarist Richie Londres. Foord’s SikTh bandmate James Leach joins on bass for this particular track.
The band offers of “A Reason for Being:”
“Even as artists who create music for dystopian times, we never expected to be actually living in those times. With all that’s happening right now, we have decided to share a new song and our music, which is our Ikigai, or, reason for being.
“Be well!”
