Slugdge Vocalist Still Suffering from Covid-19 Symptoms Several Months Later
Slugdge vocalist Matt Moss, who was among a handful of metal musicians to contract Covid-19 during the pandemic’s initial explosion in March, is reportedly still suffering from symptoms related to the disease, making him a so-called “long-hauler.”
Slugdge drummer Alan Cassidy (also of The Black Dahlia Murder) revealed in a recent tweet that Moss continues to struggle with his health despite allegedly getting the all-clear from Covid-19 many months ago, lashing out at those who are quick to downplay the disease’s severity.
Responding to this CNN report, Cassidy said:
“This happened to our vocalist from @Slugdge and people need to understand the real repercussions of this sickness. Just cause you survive doesn’t mean you’re fine. Stop being a fucking plague rat”
Slugdge have been universally-loved amongst the MetalSucks staff for years, and their most recent album, Esoteric Malacology, was amongst my favorites of 2018. We wish Matt as speedy a recovery as possible given how long it’s already taken so he can get back to screaming in our earholes about gastropods ASAP.
