Killer Be Killed and Gone Is Gone Both Post New Songs!

0

Killer Be Killed and Gone Is Gone, two similarly named supergroups that feature Mastodon bassist/vocalist Troy Sanders in their ranks, have both dropped new songs today. Was this a coordinated effort on someone’s part or an act of sheer coincidence? Who knows, but this much is certain: it really doesn’t help folks like me who continue to get these two bands confused with one another!

In case you can’t keep these two acts straight like me, here are their lineups:

Killer Be Killed:

Vocals/guitars: Greg Puciato (ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Black Queen)
Vocals/guitars: Max Cavalera (ex-Sepultura, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy)
Bass/Vocals: Troy Sanders (Mastodon)
Drums: Ben Koller (Converge, Mutoid Man, etc.)

Gone Is Gone:

Vocals/bass: Troy Sanders (Mastodon)
Guitar: Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of the Stone Age)
Keyboards: Mike Zarin
Drums: Tony Hajjar (At the Drive-In)

Killer Be Killed have a new song called “Deconstructing Self-Destruction” and also announced an album, Reluctant Hero, due out November 20.

Gone Is Gone’s new jam is titled “Sometimes I Feel” which for now is being billed as a standalone single, following “Everything is Wonderfall” earlier this summer.

Jam both tunes below. Good luck keeping all this shit straight — at least they sound completely different — but maybe just don’t even bother… they’re both solid jams, which is the most important thing!
