The Agony Scene Bassist Jay White Has Died
The Agony Scene bassist Jay White has passed away. He had been in the band since 2016 and performed on their 2018 full-length, Tormentor.
No cause of death has been publicly revealed, but he had been receiving dialysis treatments for an undisclosed illness. He had been hospitalized in recent weeks, and a GoFundMe set up by his family implied he would soon be returning home to hospice care.
The Agony Scene issued the following statement this afternoon:
“It is with extremely heavy hearts that we regretfully inform you all of the passing of our friend and bandmate Jay White.
“Jay was a uniquely special individual who made a serious impact in his short time on this earth. He was a true force of nature that we will all miss dearly.
“Rest easy, we love you Jay.
