Mastodon’s Brann Dailor: “Our F*cking President Is Just the Worst Person”

It’s official: when Trump either wins or steals the election in November, Mastodon will not be playing his second inauguration celebration.

Earlier this year, guitarist Bill Kelliher called Trump an “orange shitstain” and his supporters “idiots.” Now drummer Brann Dailor has seconded these sentiments in a new interview with Rock Sound:

“Our fucking president is just the worst person. I remember being a kid and seeing Donald Trump on TV, on Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous, being eight years old and going, ‘That guy sucks. That guy’s a dick. He doesn’t care about anybody but himself. He’s just a rich, spoiled brat.’ And I knew that as a kid, you know what I mean? How could [anyone] think that guy cares about anybody but himself?”

I believe the answer to Brann’s question is “Years of being inundated by right wing propaganda combined with a deficient education,” but that’s just my two cents.

To the best of my knowledge, the other members of Mastodon have not yet publicly shared their opinion of Trump. I assume Troy Sanders also doens’t like him and that Brent Hinds doesn’t know there’s an election this year.
