Nickelback Post Heavy as Hell Cover of “The Devil Went Down To Georgia”

Nickelback have been teasing us with a new release of some sort for the past few days, the latest in their catalogue of audio delicacies (or, if you’re a simpleton unable to appreciate Nickelback’s genius, ‘the latest abomination on mankind’ hyuck hyuck hyuck!).

Nickelback’s surprise arrived this morning, and it’s a heavy as hell cover of The Charlie Daniels Band’s “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” that features a ton of down-picked chugging, all-out-shredding, finger tapping and some surprisingly gruff vocals. If you told me this were Gojira performing the Charlie Daniels classic, I’d believe you.
