The Erkonauts Release Ridiculously Good New Song, “War Flamingoes”

The Erkonauts, man. This band is rad. Thus far, the Swiss quartet is two-for-two with regards to making it onto my year-end list (2016 + 2017). So, naturally, I’m more than a little excited to hear their next offering, I Want It to End, which is slated to be released later this year.

Certainly, the first single, “War Flamingoes,” bodes well. The meat-blender guitars! The elastic bass! The cudgeling drums! The hook! The super-timely lyrics (“They the people, flamboyant and supreme/ Keeping the saints clean and the poor out of democracy”)! That especially EPIC section that starts around 1:33! This song sounds like System of a Down and Gojira had a baby. I’m in.
