Watch: Young Kids Cover White Zombie’s “More Human Than Human”
The O’Keefe Music Foundation has become known over the years for its pro-quality videos of young music students covering hard rock and metal tunes, including Danzig, Slipknot, Clutch, Tool and plenty of others. The foundation’s stated mission of “help[ing] talented young musicians record and film their performances” completely for free is one we at MetalSucks can certainly get behind! Music education programs are threatened now more than ever, and kids need every bit of exposure to music they can get if we hope to keep future generations rocking long after we’re gone.
Behold, OKM’s latest endeavor: a cover of White Zombie’s “More Human Than Human,” complete with pandemic-appropriate outfits and a Hello Kitty drum kit. The band consists of:
Annika Miller — age 7 — modular synth
Taylor Jade Campbell — age 9 — vocals
Willa Hillard — age 10 — tambourine
Logan Miller — age 10 — Hello Kitty drum kit
Gianna DeToro — age 12 — bass
Aidan Lamb — age 13 — rhythm guitar
Noah Williams — age 16 – slide guitar
Kudos to all involved! Great job. Watch below.
