Ihsahn Announces Pharos EP, Drops New Single, “Spectre at the Feast”
Ihsahn has announced a new EP, Pharos, the second of a two-part series that began with Telemark earlier this year.
Like its predecessor, Pharos contains three original tracks and two covers, the latter of which see Ihsahn take on songs well outside the metalsphere by A-ha and Portishead (he previously covered Iron Maiden and Lenny Kravitz). Ihsahn’s cover of A-ha’s “Manhattan Skyline” features vocals by Leprous frontman Einar Solberg who, along with the rest of Leprous, used to be in Ihsahn’s backing band.
Pharos comes out on September 11 via Candlelight Records; pre-order here.
