The Timing of Static-X’s New Music Video Sure Is Convenient
I generally don’t go in for conspiracy theories. And besides, it makes perfect sense that Static-X would have a new music video in the can (for the track “Bring You Down”), ready for release this week, given that they’re Saturday night’s headliners for Herd Immunity Fest, or Mini Fest, or Mini Coronvirus Outbreak Fest, or whatever the hell they’re calling it now.
Still, I could not help but marvel that just a day before this video’s release, convicted sex offender Tripp Eisen and his former bandmate, Edsel Dope — who is also currently fronting Static-X as ‘Xer0’ — got into a social media spat over Project Regeneration, Vol. 1, the very album on which this song appears. It’s almost as though those dudes went out of their way to make sure Static-X were on everybody’s minds this week.
Huh.
