Exclusive Track + Music Video Premiere: Convulse’s “The Summoning”

Convulse are back! This fall, Transcending Records will release Deathstar, the band’s first new album in four years. Given the breadth of Convulse’s sound — this is, after all, the band that went from being pioneers of Finnish death metal to being pioneers of Finnish death n’ roll — fans will not be surprised to learn that Deathstar continues to go above and beyond the parameters of “standard” death metal, melding goosebump-inducing DM growls and gurgles with music that’s jammier and more freewheeling, if no less expertly composed. Trust us: Deathstar was worth the wait.
