Mantar Debut Sonic Youth Cover

Germany’s Mantar have shared another song from their forthcoming covers collection, Grungetown Hooligans II. Specifically, they’ve shared their take on Sonic Youth’s 1992 song, “100%.” And not only have they shared their take on Sonic Youth’s “100%,” but they’ve done so via a new music video which is also an homage to the original Sonic Youth video. In another thirty years, some other band will cover Mantar’s cover and make a video paying tribute to the video they made to pay tribute to Sonic Youth, and we’ll be in bonafide Inception territory.
