Rammstein Postpone North American Tour
On April 29, Vince published a helpful list of big summer metal tours that, for some reason, had not yet been cancelled or postponed in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Less than a month later, most of the bands on that list have, indeed, call off their impending live dates (see: Guns N’ Roses, Rage Against the Machine, Slipknot, and Deftones). Making the ones that still haven’t look all the more foolish, and making the ones that still haven’t despite their tours being scheduled to commence just a few weeks from now look like assholes.
The latest metal band from that initial list to finally wave the white flag is Rammstein. Their North American stadium tour wasn’t set to kick off until August, but the German industrial troupe clearly sees the writing on the wall and isn’t gonna make fans needlessly wait for suspense for an outcome that was always inevitable.
Says the band in a statement:
“Sadly, but in the best interests of everyone’s health and safety, we have to postpone our North America Tour. We are now working on rescheduling the tour in 2021, so please hold on to your tickets as they will be honored at the rescheduled show dates. We hope to have an update on that shortly and will communicate it once we do. For more information visit: aegpresents.com“
We’ll let you know when the dates are re-scheduled.
