For $3,000, You Can Buy Slash’s Hair

Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash is famous first and foremost for his playing… but it would be a lie to say he’s not also famous for his signature top hair and curly hair. Vince and I once saw Slash play a very small club in Manhattan, Wetlands (R.I.P.), and a woman reached out and petted that hair during one of the guitarist’s solos. Slash’s reaction was a chuckle. He gets it.

So I guess it’s not entirely shocking, if inarguably silly, that someone is now trying to sell some of Slash’s hair on eBay for three friggin’ grand.

In defense of the person who eventually purchases this bizarre piece of memorabilia, it’s not just Slash’s hair — the hair is just part of a custom wedding cake topper from Slash’s 2001 marriage to Perla Ferrar. Ferrar auctioned off the topper in 2018, after the pair divorced, and now whomever is possession of it is trying to unload it themself.

In addition to having Slash’s hair, the wedding cake topper is also kinda interesting because it seems to foretell the nuptials’ eventual failure.
