Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Pantera, Volbeat Facemasks Available; Proceeds Will Go to Charity

As you’re hopefully aware, the CDC has recommended the use of cloth face coverings to help slow the spread of COVID-19. If you still need a such a covering — or just want the world to know you’re a metal fan while out about — you’ll be interested to learn that Universal Music has just unveiled a new line of artist-branded facemasks, each adorned with a band logo. As of this writing, the four metal bands available are Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Pantera, and Volbeat; there are also masks for plenty of non-metal artists, ranging from the Rolling Stones to Frank Sinatra to Billie Eilish to Tupac.

The masks go for fifteen bucks a pop. And while they aren’t medical-grade, 100% of the net proceeds from sales of the mask will go the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. Which is more than we can say for some metal-artist-branded facemasks.
