Heart-Warming Video: Dave Grohl Surprises Nurse with Live Performance and Donation

Superhero Dave Grohl is back to save the day once again with an incredible act of kindness for a New York emergency trauma nurse.

On the latest episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel invited nurse TJ Riley on to discuss his work on the front lines of the coronavirus outbreak at Jacobi Medical Center in The Bronx. A couple of minutes into the chat, Kimmel revealed his staff had researched Riley’s interests and had a special guest ready to join… and when Grohl’s familiar mug appeared on the screen, Riley lost his shit in the best way possible.

After the requisite “Oh my god!”s, Dave revealed, “I just happen to have a guitar in my lap. Maybe I’ll play a little song…” before launching into the Foo Fighters hit “Everlong.” The show also gifted Riley with $10,000 and provided gift packages for every nurse in his department.
