Static-X and Dope Gear Stolen
I don’t think it’s any secret that MetalSucks has never exactly been what you’d call “fans” of Static-X or Dope. Still, we wouldn’t wish this on them. It blows, and it blows hard.
According to an official press release, the two bands’ shared warehouse space “was recently robbed of nearly 200K worth of touring equipment,” including “Multiple LED video panels, 2 drum kits, 40+ cymbals, various high end audio/video gear, microphones, racks, branded backdrops,” and more.
Here’s the two bands’ joint statement on the theft:
“We want to encourage our community to keep a close eye on your property and on your facilities during this unprecedented time… We also ask for our fans to keep an eye out for the stolen items and maybe we can help the police find these people.”
The bands have released a full list of the stolen gear, complete with serial numbers. They’ve also released photos of many of the stolen items.
If you know anything about the theft or think you’ve come across some of the gear in question, you can send an anonymous tip here.
Everyone here at MetalSucks sincerely hopes the equipment is retrieved soon. Please come forward if you know anything about the missing items.
