Puscifer Plan on Releasing a New Album This Year

0

While Tool are notorious for taking forever between albums — 13 years for Fear Inoculum, which finally came out last August — one of singer Maynard James Keenan’s other projects, Puscifer, has typically moved at a much more brisk pace.

That trend looks likely to continue with a new Puscifer album this year, according to some recent posts on the band’s social media. “Brisk” is relative, of course — the band’s last proper record, Money Shot, came out in November of 2015 — but two video teasers posted on Instagram make it seem as if we’ll hear new music well before the five-year mark.

I’ve never been a huge Puscifer fan, but hey, I’m open to being convinced. There aren’t a ton of big releases coming out in the next few months anyway, meaning I’ll have time to give it proper attention.

One of the posts promises “more details to follow this weekend,” so we’ll be sure to update you all then. Take a look below.
