Lamb of God Stream Latest Single “New Colossal Hate”
As promised, Lamb of God have released the latest single from their forthcoming self-titled album today. It’s called “New Colossal Hate,” and as you can probably guess from the title, it’s a beautiful, mellow, sweet song, largely akin to Warrant’s “Heaven” or Skid Row’s “I Remember You.”
I’m kidding, of course. The song is fucking pummeling. You could slide it onto Wrath and it wouldn’t seem out of place.
LoG were recently forced to push back the release of their new album because of issues arising as a result of the coronavirus; previously scheduled for release on May 8, it will now come out June 19. The band plans to release one more single before it finally drops, though, so that’s a nice consolation prize. You can pre-order the album here.
Meanwhile, the band is supposed to kick off a summer co-headline tour with Megadeth on June 12, but I think there’s a better chance of Chris Adler re-joining the band before then than there is of that actually happening. A second leg of the trek, which also includes Trivium and In Flames, is supposed to start in October… but unless they change it to October of 2021, I wouldn’t bet money that happening, either. Don’t kill the messenger.
