Protest the Hero Officially Announce New Album Palimpsest

Given both yesterday’s tease and this morning’s release of a new single, “The Canary,” it will probably not shock anyone to learn that Protest the Hero have officially announced their fifth full-length album. It will be called Palimpsest, it will be released June 19, and it will have this extremely cool album art by Martin Wittfooth:

Of course, the announcement means that every PtH fan now has one question on their mind: what the shit does “palimpsest” mean?

Well, that second definition certainly describes the music of Protest the Hero, that’s for sure. Props to the band for expanding our (or at least my) vocabulary.
