A Day to Remember Release New Song and Video, “Mindreader”

A Day to Remember have released a new song, “Mindreader,” along with a nifty animated video.

I’ve never been a huge fan of this band, but I enjoy this song — it’s a catchy little pop-punk ditty! — and I like how the video takes the song’s lyrics, which are about being in a relationship in which we’re unfairly expected to know what our partner is always thinking (“Mindreader”), and runs with another interpretation of that word, “Mindreader” as a psychic / medium / tarot card interpreter. The animation style and coloring reminds me of an old-school NES point-and-click game like Deja Vu or Shadowgate.

Kerrang! tells me that folks were expecting the band to release a new album last November and that didn’t happen, but the new video contains clues about what’s coming soon. See if you can zero in on those and post them in the comments.
