You Will Never Believe This News About the Testament/ Black Dahlia Murder/ Municipal Waste Tour!!!
Oh my FUCKING God.
We start this morning with some SHOCKING news about Testament’s upcoming North American tour with The Black Dahlia Murder and Municipal Waste.
Seriously, you’d better sit down before you read this.
If you’re holding something — a mug of coffee, a bowl of cereal, a baby, whatever — put it down. I don’t want you to drop it.
This is gonna blow your mind. Seriously.
Okay.
Are you ready?
Are you SURE you’re ready?
Alright.
[deep breath]
The tour has been postponed.
See? I told you it was SHOCKING news.
Why did this happen? What oh what could be the cause???
Testament are a little vague in their statement:
“Hi everyone! We unfortunately are going to have to reschedule our upcoming North American spring tour. Please bear with us while we work to get the new dates together with our team. Please hold onto your tickets as they will be honored for the newly scheduled dates. We hope everyone is staying safe, staying home, and we look forward to rocking out with you soon.”
The Black Dahlia Murder’s statement isn’t much more specific — it makes mention of an “elephant in the room,” but doesn’t say what that elephant actually is:
“It is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge the elephant in the room aka the rescheduling of our big US tour with Testament and Municipal Waste, as well as our headlining off dates to, from, and between the scheduled Testament shows. Our new album ‘Verminous’ is still coming out April 17th on Metal Blade Records. Standby for more live info soon!”
Municipal Waste’s statement, too, is a little ambiguous as to the cause of the postponement:
“We regret to inform everyone that we will no longer be a part of the upcoming tour with Testament and Black Dahlia Murder; which includes our headlining off dates between those shows, out of an abundance of caution for fans, crew and venue staff.”
While it is not currently clear why this tour has to be rescheduled, what is clear is this:
Ticketmaster is not gonna give you your fucking money back.
