Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi: “I’m in Touch With Ozzy Every Day”

I don’t think Ozzy Osbourne likes working with Tony Iommi. I make this assumption based on the following quote from a 2018 interview:

“Do I like working with him? Not really.”

I do, however, think Ozzy Osbourne likes Tommy Iommi as a person. I make this assumption based on the following quote from that same interview:

“Do I like him as a person? Yeah, I love him as a person.”

This being the case, it’s a little surprising, but not really very surprising at all, to hear Tony Iommi say he’s in constant contact with Ozzy:

“I think this has brought us all closer. I’m even in touch with Ozzy every day as he gets over his own health problems in Los Angeles.”

So that’s nice. I know my mom and my Aunt Sadie spend hours on the phone every day and it’s really been helping them get through this difficult time. I like thinking that Ozzy and Tony are also doing the same thing. Old people are cute, aren’t they? I wonder if they ever conference in Geezer Butler? I assume nobody’s talking to Bill Ward.

So. Anyway. That happened.
