Amon Amarth’s Johan Hegg to Co-Host Online Yoga Class

Something I thought I’d never see: Johan Hegg, vocalist of Amon Amarth and murderer of exceedingly handsome and wise metal bloggers, doing yoga. And yet, this very thing will happen later today when Johan joins his wife, Maria, to co-host a course entitled “Yoga to Release Tension.” The class is scheduled to begin at 6:30pm CET/ 12:30pm EDT/ 9:30am PDT.

Says Mr. Hegg via social media:

“Do something for your own well being today! Join my wife, Maria, and me for yoga online at 6:30pm CET! As usual she’ll be the teacher, and I’ll be the guy that shows you that if I can do it, anybody can!”

You can learn more, and register for the class, at this link. It costs just seven bucks to join, which I think is more than reasonable to a) get some exercise while you’re stuck in isolation and b) see a massive Viking do yoga (presumably whilst wearing his beloved Under Armour).

There’s also a Spotify playlist to go along with the class (below), which, though lacking in Amon Amarth, does feature Alice in Chains, Mastodon, Nirvana, A Perfect Circle, Stone Temple Pilots, Mad Season, and some other cool artists. Also, Candlebox. Just kidding. We love ya, Candlebox.
