This Satirical Trapt Tour Poster Is the Funniest Thing You’ll See Today

Trapt frontman Chris Taylor Brown is currently on a remarkable three-week run enjoying the most publicist his band has gotten in nearly two decades, maybe ever (Trapt were never exactly critical darlings). But will all that attention, which is showing no signs of slowing down, translate into any kind of increased success for Brown? Aside from all those bucketloads of Pandora streams, of course.

One April Fools’ Day trickster has endeavored to speculate on the topic by creating a parody admat for a Trapt tour set to head out later this spring. That trickster is E.J. Shannon, noted manager and member of The MetalSucks 25 Best Metal Albums of 2010 – 2019 voting panel, and the mastermind behind the endlessly hilarious fake Coachella / Summer Slaughter admat that made the rounds earlier this year.

Once again, the devil is in the details: the more you look at this thing, the better it gets. The Pandora stats, the bands Brown has specifically called out of late, the dive bars and myriad “TBA” dates on the routing, the misspellings and mismatched cities and states, the ‘Murica imagery in the background, the corporate sponsors… *MWAH!* (chef’s kiss).
