Ville Valo of H.I.M. Releases New Solo EP
Ville Valo, former frontman of iconic goth-metal band H.I.M., is returning with a new EP called Gothica Fennica Vol. 1.
This follows last year’s self-titled release from Ville Valo & Agents, which he made with Esa Pulliainen.
The EP consists of “Salute the Sanguine,” “Run Away From the Sun,” and “Saturnine Saturnalia.” The first track bounces with catchy synth-infused metal, and it kind of feels like being inside of a video game. “Run Away From the Sun” and “Saturnine Saturnalia” sound less like a hard rock bangers and more like unhurried, dramatic songs by The Cure.
