Otep Shamaya Blasts Idiot Who Blames Homosexuals for the Coronavirus

We’re in the midst of a global pandemic, and you know what that means: it’s time for the religious right to scapegoat homosexuals! That train is never late.

Fortunately, there will always be people who don’t suffer those fools lightly. And one of those people, naturally, is Otep Shamaya, who is an outspoken lefty and is gay herself.

So when a Twitter account called ‘BIBLE MAN – Jesus’ Rapture Prophecy The Last Day’ recently tweeted out this lil’ nugget of helpful information…

“6 confirmed cases #coronavirus in Riverside County Coachella Valley which has Palm Springs the homosexual capital of USA.”

…Otep fired back with a good old fashioned joke about Jesus and crucifixion:

“Blaming gay ppl for coronavirus? Typical. But hey here’s one for you. How does Jesus whistle? He put his palm to his face and blows thru the hole.”

While ‘Bible Man’ (worst… superhero… ever) replied that he was “warning” and not “blaming” gay people because “Gay people need saved more [sic] from this virus, they go to the lake of fire at the resurrection,” the better reaction came from Alicia Dove, wife of Slipknot/ Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor:

“I legit lol’d.”

(Worth mentioning: while the article ‘Bible Man’ implores Otep to read does say that those with HIV are at greater risk should they contract the virus, it says nothing about homosexuals — that’s Bible Man’s own prejudice/ assumption that anyone with HIV must be gay. So.)
