Emmure Pay Homage to GG Allin on New Song “Gypsy Disco”

Emmure’s new single, “Gypsy Disco,” features multiple audio samples of GG Allin, arguably the most legitimately insane, earnestly nihilistic provocateur in the history of rock n’ roll. I can’t imagine Allin would have liked the song, but then, I can’t imagine Allin would liked much of anything.

Having said that, I actually think — GASP! — that the back-half of the track (from roughly 57 seconds on) is pretty good! I mean, yeah, it’s still generic deathcore, but it’s pretty rockin’ generic deathcore. In any case, this is definitely the best Emmure song I’ve ever heard. I know that’s not the highest bar over which to jump… but jump it they did!
