Power Trip are in the Studio

Neo-thrashers Power Trip made a huge splash with their 2017 album, Nightmare Logic, jumping up to the big leagues after years of relentlessly gutting it out in the underground and steadily building a following. Their next album will be the first time the metal world at large is watching and waiting for a Power Trip release. Are the band ready to rise to the occasion?

We’ll find out soon enough: according to a recent post on Twitter and Facebook, Power Trip are currently in the studio laying down tracks for their next effort. Lambgoat reports that the band has once again partnered with producer Arthur Rizk, although the source of that information isn’t clear. Either way, this much is certain: Power Trip know the pressure is on, and there are hoards of fans very, very eager to hear what they dish out next.

The resulting album will tentatively be the band’s third and final for record label Southern Lord, although they were reportedly at odds with the label’s leadership and looking for a way out of that deal as of last December.
