Danzig Sings Elvis: Official Release Date Revealed
As promised, Glenn Danzig’s almost-certain-to-be-hilarious Elvis Presley covers album, Danzig Sings Elvis, will finally be released in April… specifically, on April 17. But that’s not at all! According to a Facebook post…
“Two live performances in late April will be announced next week for Los Angeles & San Francisco. These will be small Intimate seated performances as Danzig wants to try to capture an old Vegas night club atmosphere for these 2 special shows.”
It’s not currently clear how Danzig will “capture an old Vegas night club atmosphere for these 2 special shows.” Permitted indoor smoking? Encouraged sexual harassment of the female wait staff? Subtle and not-so-subtle discrimination against minorities? There are tons of creative avenues Danzig can explore here.
Meanwhile, Verotika, Danzig’s feature film directorial debut, is out on home video now. I haven’t had a chance to sit down and watch it yet, but based on the rave reviews, I’m very much looking forward to doing so at some point in the near future!
