WSOU First Impressions: Sepultura, Quadra
Seton Hall University’s WSOU radio is the only all-metal, all-the-time station currently broadcasting in the U.S., and has been a force in metal for decades. It’s also streamable online from anywhere in the world!
Each week, a different staff member of WSOU will share a quick review of an album they’re currently digging, right here on MetalSucks. Enjoy!
Sepultura, Quadra
When a band has been around for as long as Sepultura, it’s always mind-blowing when they can still make cohesive, solid, and concise records after so many years. Sepultura have done it again on their new album, Quadra with gritty guitars, catchy choruses and an overall approach that’s best described as theatrical. These songs definitely have a flair for the dramatic while also being extremely heavy hitting, and the record is everything I wanted from the band. Some favorites off the album are “Isolation,” “Raging Void,” and “Agony of Defeat.” Anyone who is a fan of Sepultura should give this album a listen!
