Video: Jason Momoa Plays Ozzy Osbourne in “Scary Little Green Men” Teaser
In case you somehow haven’t heard, Ozzy Osbourne’s new album, Ordinary Man, is out today (read our review). And to make extra super-duper sure you don’t forget it, the Ozzman has released this cute lil’ video in which you this dude in a cloak walks down a hall and you think it’s gonna be Ozzy and then — SURPRISE! — it’s Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa, who has become easily the most metal-friendly non-metal-musician celebrity in the world today. And then he starts “performing” one of Ordinary Man‘s standout tracks, “Scary Little Green Men.”
Now, if this were, like, an honest-to-Satan biopic, Momoa as Ozzy would be horrible casting, because he’s a good five inches taller than Ozzy, ripped, and mobile (modern Ozzy performances are not this physically enthusiastic, I can assure you). But as the basis for a promo video, well… heck, if this ain’t a ton of fun, then I’m Sharon Osbourne.
I assume there will eventually be a full “Scary Little Green Men” video in which Momoa lip-syncs the entire song. But for now, enjoy this:
