Video: Tool Perform “7empest” Live for the First Time Ever
Tool FINALLY gave a live debut to the Fear Inoculum track “7empest” during their February 18th, at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia, and frankly, I’m shocked that it took so long. The track became an instant fan favorite when Fear Inoculum was released in August (and was a clear standout when members of the media first got to hear the record in July), it was nominated for the “Best Metal Performance” Grammy back in November, and it won that award last month. In fact, I was amazed it wasn’t the album’s lead single. So I definitely woulda thunk they band would start playing it live ASAP.
But whatever — they’re playing it live now, and that’s what matters! You can watch multiple fan-filmed videos of the performance at the bottom of this post.
