Polish Hotel Greets John Petrucci With Backhanded Compliment

Wrocław, Poland’s Sofitel Wrocław Old Town is a five-star hotel and resort, and has all the amenities you’d expect from such a facility: fine dining, a top-of-the-line fitness center and spa, auditoriums with state of the art technology for all your business conferences and conventions, a gorgeous event space perfect for weddings and other such special occasions, and, of course, world-class entertainment… courtesy not of any performer per se, but, rather, of Aleksandra Zblewska in Guest Relations.

When she’s not working at the Sofitel, Ms. Zblewska moonlights as an insult comic. At least, I assume she moonlights as an insult comic, based on this greeting card Dream Theater guitarist John Petrucci received upon arriving at the hotel before last night’s show at the Wrocław Orbita Hall:

Well, John, given that the album in question, Images and Words, came out almost twenty-three years ago, and that you’ve made twelve albums since, I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that it’s an insult. But it sure was nice of you to give Aleksandra the benefit of the doubt!
