Sludgy Prog Rock Outfit Elephant Tree Unveil New Single, “Sails”

To those unbeknownst, Elephant Tree are a prog-rock/metal band that will make you feel as if you are tripping on acid with Syd Barrett in a cyanide-laced strawberry field. Test out this theory by playing their newest song, turning off the lights, closing your eyes and allowing the music to take over.

Elephant Tree’s doomy psychedelic sound is evident on the first single, “Sails,” from their third album, Habits, scheduled for release this coming spring. Their melancholy lyrics and heavy rock guitar call to mind to an amalgamation of power trio Sleep and alternative rock legends The Smashing Pumpkins.
