Listen to Slipknot’s First-Ever Demo from 1995

Slipknot are the bestest, most importantest band ever ever ever, so getting to listen to the first demo they ever made is a little like getting to read a first draft of The Bible. And while you will probably never get to actually read a first draft of The Bible, you can listen to Slipknot’s earliest demo: the 1995 recording, made when Anders ColsefnotCoreyTaylor was still fronting the band, has found its way online, reportedly because a close friend of late bassist Paul Gray sold it to someone.

You can listen to the four-song demo below. Unsurprisingly, given the lack of Corey Taylor and the very 1995/early nu-metal vibe, it’s not very good. But it’s still a piece of Slipknot history. So. Yeah.
