Vigil of War’s Alicia Vigil to Play Bass on Upcoming DragonForce Tours

DragonForce don’t appear to have hired a permanent replacement for Frédéric Leclercq, who left the group last summer to join Kreator, but we do know who will be handling bass duties on the band’s upcoming tours of Europe and the U.S.: Alicia Vigil from Vigil of War. I’m not really familiar with Vigil of War, and having now listened to a little of Ms. Vigil’s previous work, nothing about it really screams “DRAGONFORCE!” to me. Then again, nothing about almost-temporary-bassist Stevie T. screamed “DRAGONFORCE!” to me. I’m not sure anything short of a can of Red Bull high on cocaine driving a flaming race car could scream “DRAGONFORCE!” to me. But if Herman Li and company signed off on her, it’s safe to assume she has chops.
