Imonolith (Strapping Young Lad, The Devin Townsend Project, Threat Signal) Debut New Song “Instinct”

Imonolith, the band featuring Byron Stroud from Strapping Young Lad, Ryan Van Poederooyen and Brian Waddell from the Devin Townsed Project, Threat Signal’s Jon Howard, Kai Huppunen from Methods of Mayhem (yech!), and and Scott Whalen (Econoline Crush), have released a new single, “Instinct.” It’s not good. Their last single, “Hollow” — released almost exactly a year ago — was also not good. So it seems like this will be one of those supergroups where the whole is less than the sum of its parts. These songs are so generic that if they were cereal they wouldn’t be Frosted Flakes, they’d be Sugar-Coated Frosty Flecks or something.
