Today Is the Day Release Upbeat New Ditty “You’re All Gonna Die”
Today Is the Day have released the second single from their new album, No Good to Anyone. It’s called “You’re All Gonna Die,” and it’s appropriately short and predatory-sounding, with militaristic drums reminiscent of an air raid and chunky guitars that wrap around you like an anaconda. When mastermind Steve Austin utters the title phrase around the :33 second mark, he sounds both cooly confident and terrifyingly determined — like the listeners’ impending doom isn’t a threat so much as a simple statement of fact. Shudder.
