This Satirical Metal Coachella Poster Is the Funniest Thing You’ll See Today

What if Lambgoat and MetalSucks co-presented a version of Summer Slaugher — “The most extreme fest of the month” — that included a “Lamb of God Killadelphia fight scene re-enactment,” a magic show by Emmure’s Frankie Palmeri, an a cappella set by Dying Fetus, a “hardcore dance and moshing lesson” by Bernie Sanders, and a rap battle between Danzig and Doyle? I mean… I’d buy a ticket to see that, wouldn’t you?

Alas, this iteration of Summer Slaughter isn’t a for really real thing — it’s just a satirical, metallicized version of the annual Coachella poster. The parody admat was tweeted out by E.J. Shannon, noted manager and member of The 25 Best Metal Albums of 2010 – 2019 voting panel, but it’s not clear if it E.J. also created it or just shared it. In any case, I tip my hat to whatever genius came up with this. It’s worth enlarging and reading all the fine print.
