Gwar’s Use Your Collusion holiday mini-tour stopped in Brooklyn on Saturday, December 28, 2019, bringing the band’s signature bloodbath to Greenpoint’s historic Warsaw club, and MetalSucks contirbuting photographer Jason Bailey was on hand to capture the action.
Savage Master opened the evening with a marathon of heavy metal, keeping stage banter to a minimum and focusing instead on getting the crowds heads banging, a task that they successfully completed the moment their first riff blasted through the speakers. They were followed by Boston metalcore pioneers Unearth, who delivered a set of pure energy that manifested itself in the form of a giant most pit for the entire duration of their performance. Gwar then hit the stage for a 17-song set that featured all the costumed debauchery and bodily fluids that fans know and love, the blood-soaked crowd singing and surfing along as the band showcased songs from throughout their 35-year discography.
