Nine Inch Nails to Write New Music and Tour in 2020
Slipknot album: already out. Tool: it only took 13 years, but that finally arrived, too. Metallica: unlikely to release a new album in 2020 (maybe 2021?). System of a Down: never gonna fuckin’ happen.
Those are four of the biggest metal bands on the planet right there, and not-so-coincidentally four of the top generators of click$ on Metal$uck$. We’re over here scratching our heads like “wtf are we gonna write about next year that people will actually care about???”
Trent Reznor maybe just answered that question: according to the latest issue of Revolver, Nine Inch Nails will be active in 2020, both writing their next album and touring. Here’s a photo of the clip from the print edition of the mag, via a Reddit user:
So that’s exciting, eh? Nine Inch Nails most recent tour was a stripped down affair, which I attended when it hit Brooklyn, and I was absolutely blown away at how impressive and immersive the stage show was even with minimal production (Reznor is a master at the live show experience). I’d assume anything they have planned for 2020 will be a return to the full-blown stage shows of yore, and I am PUMPED for that, too. As for new music, well, that’s less exciting to me personally than the band’s live shows, but I’m definitely interested.
More as we get it!
