Five Finger Death Punch Cancel Tour Due to Guitarist Jason Hook’s Health
This morning we reported that Five Finger Death Punch were forced to cancel their show in Duluth, MN last night (December 12) after guitarist Jason Hook suffered a “medical emergency.” No further details were given at the time.
The band has now issued a statement with more details on Hook’s health, revealing that he had emergency surgery to have his gallbladder removed. As a result the remaining three dates of the tour have been canceled. The band offered the following:
“Last night, Jason Hook was taken to the emergency room where it was determined his gallbladder needed to be removed. Jason underwent surgery successfully but will have to remain in the hospital until his doctors determine he is fit to be discharged and travel home.
“Jason’s healing is our #1 priority. As a result, the last three shows of this current tour will be postponed, however, we are working on coming back to play Duluth, Omaha and Des Moines very soon. Once we have an update on new dates to return, we will post the information on our website and social media channels. Please hold on to your tickets in the meantime. Jason very much appreciates all the well wishes and, rest assured, we will see you back out on the road very soon!”
We wish Jason all the best in his recovery, and hope he’s able to join the band on the road in Europe with Megadeth and Bad Wolves next month. Dates for that trek, along with the band’s planned U.S. run later in the year:
